Christmas in July

A christmas card in July? Strange? Not in this bussines! 🙂

I stamped the poinsettia on a watercolor media card and embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I masked the stamped pointisettia  and pulled the pieces through an ink wash on my craft mat. I simply pressed distress ink (Speckled Egg and  Frayed Burlap) on the craft mat together with a spray of water and then dragged the cardstock through the inky wash and dried with a heat tool.

I stamped the words in Archival Ground Espresso and the music notes in Speckled Eggs. The pointisettia is colored with bright Aquarel Paint. I added the golden lettres JOY, cut out with the Impact Alphabet Die-namics of MFT. I distressed the edges of the paper and sponged them with VIntage Photo Distress Oxide.
I finished the card with some golden pearls.
